LORIS, SC (WMBF) – A 17-year-old male was shot at a home on Bill Grissett Road in Loris at Wednesday evening, Horry County Police confirmed. The fiance of the man shot and killed in Loris on Saturday said her fiance's friend was shot while they were trying to honor her fiance.

"Next thing we know, a car comes up and starts shooting, and he runs back around and said, they shot me, they shot me,” described Keaudra Waring

Just like she had to Saturday night, Waring took cover. She saw her fiance get shot a couple days before, and then last night saw his friend get shot.

Police say that gunshot didn't kill the friend, but did put him in the hospital.

“Us as family is going through something, we're grieving, we have to bury him tomorrow,” said Waring. “For them to come out there and shoot up his setting up like that was disrespectful.”

What worries Waring the most about the past four days is how the shootings will affect her daughter. The ten year old was there when her father was shot and killed, and was nearby again last night.

"I'm worried about my daughter, I'm worried about my safety, I'm worried about my livelihood,” She said.

Waring says now she plans to relocate her and her daughter's lives. She wants her kid to be safe in a new home, new school, and new setting. If she doesn't, she fears this bad blood in her community will keep getting worse.

“It'll stop when it happens to them,” She theorized. “If they have to bury their loved one or when someone comes into their home and does what they did to me, then they'll understand.”

We also spoke with the landlord of the home today. He says the neighborhood is supposed to be a family friendly place and he eventually wants to put in a park. He doesn't believe that will happen until he makes some changes.
