HARTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) – Three people were arrested after a man with outstanding warrants fled from a traffic stop in Hartsville Thursday morning, according to a news release from Hartsville Police.

Sean Devon James, 21, ran from a traffic stop conducted by Hartsville Police in the 700 block of West Carolina Avenue at about 7:45 a.m., according to City of Hartsville spokesman Russell Cox.

James is charged with first-degree burglary and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, from warrants issued after a shooting incident on Camellia Lane on April 20.

Kristina Denise Taylor, 37, is James's mother, and she is charged with speeding and driving without a license. She and James were in the vehicle when it was stopped by police Thursday morning. James fled the vehicle on foot after the traffic stop, the release states, and police began searching the area for him.

The Darlington County Sheriff's Office was called to assist with bloodhounds in the search, Sheriff Wayne Byrd said.

Police obtained a search warrant for a residence on 10th Street, where James was found hiding in the attic at about 12 p.m.

Dawneisha Johnson, 20, is charged with hindering officers after James was found at the residence.
