Driver ticketed for driving too fast in Forestbrook Road crash

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Forestbrook Road has reopened after troopers closed the road to remove a truck from a ditch. The driver was ticketed for driving too fast in the crash.

The road was closed near Sugar Mill Loop, which is near Oak Manor subdivision, closest to the Dick Pond Road entrance.

"I'd kind of like to know why these two cruisers were trying to force a pass on such a narrow road that obviously doesn't have shoulders that can support a vehicle...They were doing like a zig-zag maneuver, and it seemed to me pretty imperative to get out of their way! So, that's what happened when I tried to get out of their way," said Chris Symonds, driver.

The accident happened at around 7 p.m. Tuesday. Injuries were reported.
