FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Law enforcement officials are investigating after a graffiti message was painted on a Wilson High School building Tuesday morning.

According to school officials, the message read "forgive me" on a wall near the school's gym. An investigation of the origin of the message is currently taking place, and maintenance crews are cleaning the message off the wall, officials say. Law enforcement officials are at the school for precautionary measures.

Principal, Dr. Eric Robinson reported that Wilson students are safe, and are reporting to class as usual.
