$28K drug bust goes down in Darlington County

DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Drugs and money were seized by Darlington County deputies following a traffic stop, officials said.


Monday, May 11, the Darlington County Sheriff's Office Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) along with South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) seized approximately 10 ounces of crack cocaine, 7.7 grams of marijuana, and cash, said Darlington County officials. 


Shakeem L. Robinson, 21, of Florence, has been charged with trafficking crack cocaine more than 200 grams but less than 400 grams, simple possession of marijuana, driving under suspension, resisting arrest, and child endangerment. 


The street value of the crack cocaine is estimated to be at approximately $28,000. 


A bond hearing has been scheduled for Robinson on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
