Ana causes events to cancel, reschedule: Status of weekend events

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Subtropical storm Ana has brought wind and rain to the coasts of the Carolinas. Many outdoor events have been canceled, while others have been moved to an indoor venue.

Here is a list of weekend event statuses:

MYRTLE BEACH

- Beer Fest will be held under the concourse of the baseball stadium at TicketReturn.com field.
The event will be held rain or shine. Guests will be completely covered from the rain.

- The Seventh Annual Kickin' It For Charity Kickball Tournament scheduled for May 9, 2015 has been canceled due to inclement weather that is forecast as a result of Subtropical Storm Ana.
The tournament will be rescheduled for a later date, possibly in September.

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH

- Mayfest on Main festival has been relocated indoors to the North Myrtle Beach High School Auditorium, 3750 Sea Mountain Highway, Little River, SC 29566.

The entertainment lineup will be as follows:

12:00 PM - Opening Ceremonies

12:30 PM - Barbara Lewis and the Carolina Soul Band

2:00 PM - Blue Monday

4:00 PM - The Guess Who

The concert is free and open to the public.

Doors open at 11:00 a.m.

Seating is on a first come, first served basis.

Pawleys Island

The 2015 Pawleys Pavilion Reunion scheduled for Saturday night, benefiting Habitat for Humanity, has been canceled. Information from the Habitat for Humanity of Georgetown County Facebook page:

Safety is our primary concern and after consulting all the storm tracking models and meeting with emergency service providers, the decision has been made to cancel the outdoor activities.

Please note that any tickets you sold will be honored next year. Thanks to all who have supported this event and our Habitat families in need.

    An investigation is underway after two people were shot Saturday night in Marion, according to Marion Police Chief Dewayne Tennie. The two people were shot in front of a store at the corner of Bluff Street and Godbolt Street.

    Two houses were damaged in a fire Saturday night in Florence, according to a press release from the Florence Fire Department. The fire started shortly before 5:30 p.m. at 651 Red Tip Circle.

    Florence County Sheriff deputies were responding to an assault call Friday when they discovered a victim that had been stabbed. The incident occurred on Palomar Parkway in Florence. Investigators discovered a verbal dispute had resulted in the victim being assaulted and stabbed.
