Hearings delayed in Heather Elvis murder trial

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A hearing scheduled in the murder case of Heather Elvis has been delayed, according to the Horry County Solicitor's Office.

The following was issued in a statement issued by the office:

“After a telephone conference with all parties, it was determined there is no need to have Motion Hearings the week of May 11 in State vs. Moorer.”

In March, court documents revealed the trial of Sidney and Tammy Moorer for the murder of Elvis had been delayed.

In December, a May 11 trial date was scheduled along with a request to summon 800 jurors was filed by the solicitor's office.

    The Military Appreciation Days Parade kicked off Myrtle Beach’s annual celebration of the U.S. Armed Forces at the Market Common Saturday morning. The annual parade was held at 10:30 a.m. and traveled down Howard Street and Farrow Parkway.
