Man arrested for shooting man twice in the back at beachwear store

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A 30-year-old suspect was arrested for allegedly shooting a 41-year-old acquaintance twice in the back at Eagles Beachwear Store on Kings Highway on Saturday afternoon during an argument, according to police.

Police responded to the shooting at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday and found the victim was being transported to a nearby hospital. A doctor and an EMR-certified home nurse were at the scene and assisted the victim until he was transported.

According to the arrest warrant, Timothy Sinclair of Little River shot the victim twice in the back during a physical altercation. Officers tracked Sinclair to a location in Atlantic Beach and arrested him without incident. During an interview with investigators, he admitted to shooting the victim, the warrant states.

Sinclair was booked into Horry County Detention Center and charged with attempted murder.
