MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The grocery chain, BI-LO, has withdrawn plans to build a new store at the undeveloped site of the planned Farrow Commons.

In September 2014, a BI-LO spokeswoman told WMBF News it planned to build a 45,000-square-foot supermarket and open in Fall 2015. BI-LO said approximately 100 employees would be hired for the store opening.

For now, the several acres of land between Highway 17 Bypass, Farrow Parkway, and Fred Nash Boulevard remain vacant.

BI-LO said the decision came as it "continuously evaluates and refine its real estate plans."
