LUMBERTON, NC (WMBF) – A 35-year-old man refused to come out of his mother's home and fired shots from inside during a two-hour standoff with the Robeson County Sheriff's Office in Lumberton on Wednesday afternoon, according to officials.

Jarrett Timothy Maynor, 35, was taken into custody, and no one was injured during the standoff, confirmed Major Anthony Thompson with the RCSO.

Deputies, a special response team, and a negotiator were called to the home in the 300 block Lombardy Village Road after receiving a complaint about disorderly conduct.

When deputies knocked on the door, the man side he would “blow their [expletive] heads off,” Major Thompson confirmed.

The man shut the door, and a gunshot was heard inside. About two hours later, he came out unarmed, Major Thompson said. A shotgun was found inside the home.

Maynor was taken into custody, and is expected to face charges.
