MARION COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – The Swamp Fox Biker Bash, the first event that was to be held at the revitalized former Carolina Amphitheater property in Marion County, has been delayed from May to September.

According to the event's website and Facebook page, on April 22, they received a notice that there were unforeseen delays in the installation of a Time Warner Fiber network required for the phone, WiFi, security camera and computer systems at the amphitheater.

“In the days that followed this notice we were forced to make a difficult decision—and for reasons of public safety and overall responsibility, we made the decision to postpone the event,” states a post on the Swamp Fox Biker Bash Facebook page

Bret Michaels, Buckcherry, and “The Voice” winner Craig Wayne Boyd were among the artists on the line-up for the May 8 event.

The tickets for the May 8 event will still be honored for the rescheduled Biker Bash, which will now take place during the Myrtle Beach Bike Week Fall Rally, from September 30 to October 4. Tickets can also be refunded.
