(WMBF) - North Carolina-based Krispy Kreme is offering a BOGO free dozen doughnuts deal Tuesday.

The doughnut shop has designated April 28 Super Hero Day, according to its website.

On Facebook, KK shared this post:

“There's no need to fear! FREE doughnuts are here...on 4/28. Celebrate #SuperheroDayand buy any dozen to get a 2nd dozen Original Glazed free. http://KrispyKreme.com/HeroDay.”

Krispy Kreme is also offering free donuts for life to one lucky winner on April 28, according to krispykreme.com.

To enter, take a photo with your hero (a person, figurine, animal -- anything goes) and post it to your Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or Vine account with the hashtag #superheroselfie.

Krispy Kreme opened its doors in Winston-Salem, NC in July 1937.
