RAW VIDEO: Viewer spots large turtles off the Garden City shore

GARDEN CITY, SC (WMBF) – A viewer sent WMBF News cell phone video of what they said were large turtles off the shore in Garden City Monday afternoon.

In the video, sent by viewer Roger Holland, a man exclaims that the turtle seen on video must be at least 6 feet long!

According to the North Myrtle Beach Sea Turtle Patrol, loggerhead turtles commonly nest in the area between May and mid-August. These turtles typically grow to about 3-feet long and almost as wide, and weigh 250 to 350 pounds.

Justin Marquise Pringle, 21, was charged with four other men in the murder of 74-year-old Johnny Cameron on December 24, 2017 at the victim’s home on Old Georgetown Road in Lake City, according to a news release from the Florence County Sheriff's Office.

    An Horry County firefighter living in Conway was arrested Wednesday and charged with sexual battery with a student, according to jail records and other sources. Matthew James Oswald, 31, from Conway, was arrested by Horry County police at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday and charged with sexual battery with a student. As of Thursday morning, he remained incarcerated at J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
