HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Police are working to find the true identity of a man connected to a shooting incident at Fat Boiz Bar and Grill Saturday morning.

According to the Horry County Police Department, officers responded to the bar located on 2965 Fred Nash Boulevard in Myrtle Beach around 4:30 a.m. When police arrived to the scene, they observed people fleeing the bar on foot, officials say. One witness told police that a suspect known as “Bo Leg” left the bar, and upon arriving to his dark gray Dodge Charger, he turned and began firing a handgun toward the establishment.

The witness reported that the suspect appeared to have run out of ammo, and reached under the driver's seat to retrieve an assault rifle. The witness said the suspect then continued to fire.

Police say no one was hurt, but law enforcement observed that three vehicles at the bar were damaged, and they collected numerous shell casings from the scene. The witness advised police that this incident was retaliation over narcotics. The suspect lived in the Conway area and left traveling in that direction, according to the witness.

The suspect's vehicle was possibly occupied by several other males, police say.

According to the report, police found that an abandoned 2008 Dodge Charger that matched the description of the suspect's vehicle was involved in a single-car accident. Reports revealed that a female may have been present during the time of the crash, officials say.

If anyone has information on this incident, contact HCPD at 843-248-1520 or leave an anonymous tip on the tip line at 843-915-8477.
