MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Jewelry, a gun and a trash can were reported stolen from a home on Bryant Street, according to a Myrtle Beach police report.

A woman told police she left for work at around 5 a.m. and returned around 4 p.m. to find the items missing. She said she noticed the items were gone and called police.

She told police she thought she had locked her doors but couldn't be sure.

At around 12 p.m. Saturday, a neighbor told police she witnessed a white man with a medium build and medium length blond hair, wearing a gray hoodie and khaki shorts, pull up to the victims' house. The man was driving a silver Lexus or Camry, the witness told police.

The neighbor said she noticed the man knocking on the victim's door and looking through the windows. The neighbor said she yelled across the street that the victim wasn't home to which the suspect replied that he was there to do work for the victim, according to the report.

The neighbor told police the suspect opened his trunk and pulled out a little red box with wheels and parked it by the victim's golf cart in the driveway.

If you have any information, call Myrtle Beach police at 918-1300.
