MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Soho Steak and Seafood scored a 56 out of 100 in its recent inspection from the Department of Health.

The report details more than 20 issues found at the Myrtle Beach restaurant. Health inspectors found rotten vegetables in the coolers at the restaurant. They also found the sushi chef eating in the food prep areas, and a cook not using soap when washing his hands. On top of that, raw meat and fish were not handled properly and food containers were left open. Inspectors also noted that the back door was left open, which can allow critters inside.

The restaurant manager said they are on top of these issues, already fixing at least half of them. She also shared, SOHO will be relocating to a brand new building across the street in a few months. In the meantime, SOHO sports a "C," on its door.

Sakura Hibachi Buffet in the North Strand was the second stop this week for WMBF News.

This is the third time WMBF News followed up on the restaurant after DHEC scored it a "B." This time, Sakura got a 83 and was cited for about a dozen issues. This also includes an employee not washing his hands with soap. About half the issues were corrected during the inspection.

Sakura scored an “A,” on its follow-up.

You'll also find an "A," at Pop's Place Bar and Grill in Myrtle Beach.

Mickey Taylor is a regular who hangs out at Pop's at least 5 times a week. He loves grabbing a beer and what he calls "The best cheeseburger at the beach."

"I come here because of the sporting event activity, of the friendly staff, and all the nice customers that come in,” said Taylor. "You can walk up and down the boulevard and this is probably the cleanest bar that you will walk into and the food is excellent and it shows in their service."
