Horry County Schools announces summer Adult Education courses

CONWAY, SC (NEWS RELEASE) – Horry County Schools Adult Education will hold summer school for students who want to earn the GED certificate, complete a high school diploma, earn a career readiness certificate, or study English as a Second Language (ESL).

Classes are open to any person age 17 or older who has officially withdrawn from school. Registration, intake testing and course fees are free, as a result of business partnerships and grants between federal and state government entities and the SC Department of Education's Office of Adult Education.

Adult education classes to earn a GED, high school diploma, or Work Keys® certificate will meet at Conway Education Center and Myrtle Beach Family Learning Center from 9:00 a.m. to noon Mondays through Thursdays, from June 15 through July 9. English as a Second Language classes will meet at Myrtle Beach Family Learning Center from 9:00 a.m. to noon Mondays through Thursdays, from June 15 through July 23. Distance learning opportunities for ESL students will feature an Open Lab at Conway Education Center from 9:00 a.m. to noon Mondays through Thursdays, from June 15 through July 23.
