FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - Anyone that bought a Powerball ticket in Florence should check their ticket because a $1 million Powerball ticket sold in October expires Thursday.

According to a press release from the SC Education Lottery, the ticket was sold at the Pheonix Mart located on 2698 West David McLeod Boulevard. The winning ticket matched all five white ball numbers, and missed the red Powerball number for the October 25 drawing, according to lottery officials. The winning numbers were 6, 10, 51, 54, 57, and the Powerball number was 12, officials say.

Officials say the winner must go to the lottery's Columbia Claims Center in person by 4 p.m. on April 23. The center is located on 1309 Assembly Street.

Lottery officials stated that if a winner fails to come forward, this will become the largest prize to go unclaimed in the SC Education Lottery's history, and the funds will go to education in SC. Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize, according to officials.

The current record for an unclaimed prize is $825,000. That ticket was purchased in Belton in 2009, officials say.

The odds of winning a $1 million Powerball® prize are 1 in 5,153,633.
