MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Officers with Myrtle Beach Police Department responded to Myrtle Beach Middle School after a fight between students, according to a police report.

The incident occurred Friday around 10:20 a.m. Police stated they were notified that two juveniles got into a physical altercation in a classroom. Initially, the students were "grappling" with each other until they started to throw punches, according to a witness.

Officials say the witness told the two students to stop fighting and they did not stop. The witness told police that he and another student attempted to stop the fight, but the fighting students went to the ground before anyone could separate them, the report stated.

According to police, the witness and the offenders were uninjured.

The offenders were issued a juvenile summons for disorderly conduct, according to the police report. Police say the two students have a scheduled appearance on April 23, 2015 at 9 a.m.
