Security plans are coming together for Memorial Day weekend in Myrtle Beach. Police have released details on what they are going to focus on to make sure things don't get out of control. We've known about the traffic loop, now they are adding barricades along Ocean Boulevard to separate pedestrians from the traffic.
The next step involves meeting with the business owners who will be impacted most.
Consider This: It is very important for everyone to be aware and to be involved to make sure our community does not let this event continue to bring violence, lawlessness and a bad reputation to the Grand Strand.
And public input, a solid plan and clear communication is what is needed to make sure we don't have another disaster for the holiday weekend. So, make sure you Speak Up.
