DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A man is wanted following a robbery that occurred at a Dollar General in Darlington.

The incident took place on February 14, at around 8:25 p.m. at the store located on 904 Lamar Highway. According to Darlington County Sheriff's Office, when police arrived, the store clerk said that a male walked up to the register with items to purchase and then told the clerk to give him the money tray. The clerk gave the suspect the money and the suspect fled.

Police say it is believed that the suspect left the store in a black Ford Fusion. The clerk reported that the suspect “kept his hand in his pocket and it appeared he had a handgun.” Police say the clerk never actually saw a gun.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male around 25 years old. He is around 190 pounds and approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall. According to DCSO, he was wearing a gray hoodie with front pockets and sunglasses during the incident.

The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday. All persons were sent to the hospital and treated for their injuries.
