'Myrtle Manor' TV star pleads guilty to assault and battery

Taylor Burt Taylor Burt

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Taylor Burt of the "Welcome to  Myrtle Manor" reality television show, stood before a judge and pleaded guilty to assault and battery.

Burt had been charged with second degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 16 years old, but pleaded guilty to the lesser charge Tuesday.

According to Assistant Solicitor Martin Spratlin, Burt pleaded guilty without recommendation from the state. Judge Culbertson decided to sentence Burt without input from the solicitor's office.

Burt was given a felony conviction and sentenced to four years, suspended to three years of probation. If Burt violates probation he will be sent to prison. The probation violations include but are not limited to testing positive for drugs and having direct or indirect contact with the victim or victim's family.

Correction: This story had previously stated that Taylor Burt pleaded guilty to second degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor. This was erroneous: Burt pleaded guilty to assault and battery after being charged with second degree criminal sexual conduct.
