System Sensor smoke detectors recalled

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – System Sensor is recalling smoke detectors that are malfunctioning. The smoke detectors are failing to detect carbon monoxide gas in the home which leads to the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.

The recall involves about 1,400 System Sensor i4 series combination carbon monoxide/smoke detector models COSMO-2W and COSMO-4W. The recall units have date codes printed on the package that are 4091 or 4092.

Customers with this product should immediately contact System Sensor in order to have your smoke detector replaced.

Consumers can contact System Sensor at (800) 736-7672 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT on Monday through Friday, and online at www.systemsensor.com.
