FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Those wanting to help be a community philanthropist are invited to join and make a difference in the communities in which they live.

The Big Give Pee Dee is a region-wide, online day of giving, scheduled for May 5, to aid nonprofits in the Pee Dee Region in association with Give Local America.

The campaign is run by Eastern Carolina Community Foundation, whose goal is to build assets for the Pee Dee community. They aim to have all seven counties of the region represented for the cause: Marlboro, Chesterfield, Dillon, Marion, Williamsburg and Florence.

To donate, simply access a central website and support by donating $25 or more to a nonprofit of your choice.

Sign up for non-profits interested in joining will continue through February 28, 2015, or until the 50 nonprofits cut off limit has been reached. For more information on how your nonprofit can join, email: BIGGIVE@easterncarolinacf.org
