$1000 reward offered for information on missing Longs man

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - The family of Danny Atkins and the CUE Center for Missing Persons is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that will lead to his direct location.

Danny Atkins of Longs, SC has been missing since January 20, 2015, when his brother arrived at the 63 year old's home to pick him up for doctor's appointment. "I left the note thinking maybe he forgot and followed up with a phone call but received no answer, I still was not alarmed, but a little concerned," explained his brother, Patrick Atkins. According to press release from CUE, days after a missing persons report was filed, Atkins' car was found along a two lane country road in Tabor City, NC.

During the search for Atkins, Tabor City residents reported seeing him near his vehicle. Atkins even received help to push the vehicle off to the roadside and was seen again walking to a nearby Food Lion store, according to the press release. "We have conducted most searches for Mr. Atkins as a lost person and now with all agreeing that we need to look at and cover all avenues as to how Danny may have become missing at this point," said CUE Founder, Monica Caison.

Atkins was last known to be wearing a brown jacket, coral colored shirt, blue jeans and black tennis shoes. He is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 225 pounds. He has brown eyes, brown hair and is balding.

Anyone with information concerning Danny Atkins' whereabouts is urged to contact Horry County Police Department at 843-251-3637, Tabor City Police Department at 910-653-3140, or the CUE Center for Missing Persons at 910-232-1687.
