New adventure park to open in time for summer in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - More than $4 million will be invested in a new entertainment center on the south end of Myrtle Beach.

Myrtle Beach developers are investing the millions of dollars in the Radical Ropes Course Family Entertainment Center at 1900 South Kings Highway.

The ropes course will feature zip lines, aerial challenges, "sky rider" bicycles and rowboats around the attraction's perimeter, a low ropes course for younger users and mini golf, according to a news release issued by the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism.

The park will also represent the theme "natural high" by offering more nutritional concessions such as cold-pressed juices, gluten-free food and snacks.

The new attraction is scheduled to open June 1.

Twelve new permanent jobs will be generated when the center opens this spring and summer. About 36 temporary jobs will be generated during construction.
