Rewards offered in Sunhouse deadly armed robberies

CHARLOTTE, NC (WMBF) – Two $5,000 rewards have been announced in connection to the two armed robberies at the Sunhouse convenience stores in Horry County.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) announced the rewards and have been assisting the Horry County Police Department in its investigations.

In the first violent crime, two unknown men entered the Sunhouse Convenience Store off Highway 905 in Longs.

The store clerk was robbed and killed. The shooting happened January 2.

The second Sunhouse store clerk was killed January 25 after two unknown men “forced the employee into the store.”
