MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A new attraction will bring the Jurassic period to life in Myrtle Beach, starting in March.

Dinosaurs: The Exhibition features about 25 animatronic dinosaurs and will be located between Margaritaville and Ripley's Aquarium at Broadway at the Beach, according to a news release issued Tuesday.

“There is a life size model of the king of them all - the Tyrannosaurus Rex,” said David King, president of Spirit Touring Inc., the company behind Dinosaurs: The Exhibition.

“The dinosaurs move, they roar, and you will be amazed as the greatest creatures ever to walk the earth return before your very eyes,” he added.

The attraction plans to be open March 16.

Ticket prices will be $9.95 for kids, $14.95 for adults.

Kids will be able to ride two of the animatronic dinos, and purchase a video of the experience.
