GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) - Certified instructors from the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 12-10, will conduct America's Boating Course in Georgetown.
The course will take place on February 21, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the U.S. Coast Guard Station on 355 Marina Drive.
General information about boats, maintenance, and boating safety will be provided during the course. Instructors will offer tips on laws, regulations and how to be a courteous boater. Chapter topics include: navigating the waterways, operating your boat, boating emergencies and more. There will also be a SC Department of Natural Resources exam to make each student eligible for state certification.
The cost of the class is $30 per person and $40 per couple sharing a book. Lunch will be provided for $5 per person.
