HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - One lane of Holmestown Road is scheduled to close next week for road work.
Flaggers will be on-site at Holmestown Road in the outside westbound lane from U.S. 17 Bypass to The Lakes Access 2 for utility relocation work and truck staging, according to Horry County officials. The lane is scheduled to close Monday through Friday.
The road work is part of the Glenns Bay Road Widening & Interchange Project.
In addition, new speed limit signs in the work zone for the Glenns Bay Road project have been installed.
The speed limit in the work zone on US 17 Bypass has been reduced to 45 mph and the speed limit on Glenns Bay Rd has been reduced to 25 mph.
The speed limits are now in effect.
