CHARLESTON, SC (WMBF) - A bond hearing has been set for Sidney and Tammy Moorer, according to the Horry County Solicitor's Office. The hearing is scheduled January 30 at 9 a.m. with Judge Markley Dennis in Charleston.

According to the motion filed by Kirk Truslow, defense attorney for Sidney Moorer, “Defense counsel has had the opportunity to review the discovery provided. The discovery provided not only contradicts the State's representations at the initial bond hearing, but further establishes that Sidney Moorer could not be legally convicted of the crimes charged.”

The hearing will be the couple's second attempt at bond.

Greg McCollum, defense attorney for Tammy Moorer, said he plans to file a motion Friday for a reconsideration of the gag order. McCollum said he does not know if the gag order will be discussed at the January 30 bond hearing but said he will be prepared to discuss it.

Last year, Sidney and Tammy Moorer were denied bond for their murder charges in the disappearance of Heather Elvis
