NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - North Myrtle Beach firefighters took to batting cages to train Wednesday.

“This training session focused on hand-eye coordination and air consumption, while giving the crews the chance to have a little fun and competition,” was posted to the department's Facebook page.

At least a dozen first responders swung a bat at a ball, two of them scoring a perfect average.

The department said the firefighters will put the hand-eye coordination to use next month in another training session, its Forcible Entry Simulator.
