Georgetown Hospital System to hold health screenings

Georgetown Hospital System  will be holding a regional health screening on Friday, January 23, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Georgetown Hospital System will be holding a regional health screening on Friday, January 23, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) - Georgetown Hospital System will be holding a regional health screening on Friday, January 23, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

The event will be located at Georgetown Presbyterian Church on 558 Black River Road. There will be tips for healthy living and information about GHS programs and physicians.

Many free health screenings will also be provided. Among the free screenings are, blood pressure, osteoporosis, hearing, vision, blood sugar, oral cancer and more. Chemistry panels are $20, thyroid screenings are $15 and diabetic screenings are $15. Anyone interested in blood panel tests are required to fast for 10 to 12 hours.

Registration packets can be picked up at Georgetown Memorial Hospital, Waccamaw Community Hospital or at the screening event. Participants who want to have blood work are urged to complete a packet in advance.
