2 Darlington County men arrested for drug related crimes

DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - The Darlington County Sheriff's Office arrested two men for drug related crimes this month.

DCSO's Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) and the U.S. Marshals arrested Rashad Davon Bonaparte, 25, of Darlington, on January 12. Bonaparte was charged with three counts of distribution of crack cocaine.

On January 14, DCSO's DEU also arrested Gregory Lamont Benjamin, 29, of Hartsville, on one count of distribution of crack cocaine.

Both arrests were results of ongoing investigations.

    The person of interest in the double-murder and bank robbery in Conway on Monday is in custody. Brandon MIchael Council was arrested in Greenville, North Carolina Wednesday, along with two other people, authorities there confirmed.  Brandon Michael Council was wanted for questioning in connection with the murder of two CresCom bank employees during a bank robbery at the CresCom Bank in Conway on Monday afternoon.
