Burglary suspects found hiding underneath clothes in Mullins home

MULLINS, SC (WMBF) - Two Mullins men have been arrested after police say they were found hiding inside a home.

Christopher Jordan, 22, and Kendrex Franklin, 17, were charged with second-degree burglary, conspiracy, and malicious injury to property, said Captain Joe Graham with the Mullins Police Department.

An anonymous tip sent police to the house on West Dogwood Drive after the pair were spotted entering through a window, Graham said.

The incident happened about 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Graham said. Police entered the home and found the suspects hiding underneath clothes, he said.

Graham said over the years, residents in the neighborhood have called police about issues with people being in their yards.

Located next to the neighborhood are housing projects.

“[We] receive numerous calls from there,” Graham said.

Jordan and Franklin were taken to the Marion County Detention Center.

A bond hearing for the two suspects is scheduled 9 a.m. Friday.
