FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Firefighters are still investigating a Florence fire that occurred Monday night.

A fire blazed at a used car dealership of Highway 52 in Florence County. More than 30 firefighters fought to keep the blaze contained.

The Howe Springs Fire Department and SCHP Troopers were called to the intersection of Highway 52 and South Irby Street at around 10:20 p.m.

The fire was contained by 11:15 p.m.

The fire is being investigated by the Howe Springs Fire Department. The fire is not showing any signs of foul play, according to Fire Chief, Billy Dillon.

Fire officials are looking at a surveillance video that pointed to the building that burned, and it does not appear that anyone was on the scene when the flames started.

Dillon says investigators have found the origin of the fire and are trying to locate a possible heat source.
