Police seek shoplifting suspect

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A man is wanted after reportedly stealing beer from a local grocery store.

MBPD officers responded to the incident on January 7, at approximately 6:59 p.m. When the officer arrived, an employee of Lowes Foods reported that a white male with gray hair and a growth on his face, took four, 24-pack cases of Coors Light beer without paying for them.

According to the police report, "the complainant followed the offender outside where he stated the offender put the stolen property into his car (SC 4264GV) and drove away." After police ran the license plate number to the suspect's car and watched the surveillance video, the suspect was identified as Donald Glen Love of Murrells Inlet.

Love's criminal history shows that he had more than two shoplifting convictions in the last 10 years.

Love, 51, is 5 feet 11 inches tall and 195 pounds. He has hazel eyes and was last seen wearing a navy blue jacket.
