ROBESON COUNTY, NC (WMBF) - Robeson Community College will celebrate its 50th Anniversary on Thursday, January 15, by opening a 25 year old time capsule.

The capsule has been locked away since the tenure of President Fred G. Williams. The event will begin at 12 p.m. outside the A.D. Lewis Auditorium near the “Celestial Voyager” sculpture.

The capsule will be transported to the student lounge in the Fred G. Williams Student Center and opened around 12:15 p.m. The contents of the time capsule will be removed and examined.

RCC President, Dr. Pamela Hilbert, will make remarks and refreshments will be served. The public is invited to attend.
