SC farm expo to hold accident training

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - The media is invited to the South Carolina AgriBiz and Farm Expo's Farm Accident Rescue Training.

The training will take place at the Florence Civic Center on Tuesday, January 13, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., as a part of the Expo. Clemson Extension Service will provide fire and rescue responders with safety tips for farmers involved with on farm accidents. The training will include information on tractor roll over's, combine entanglements and more.

    A South Carolina Department of Transportation contractor was injured Monday morning after a tractor the worker was driving was struck by a vehicle on Highway 31, according to Pete Poore with the SCDOT. Poore confirms the contractor was cutting grass.

    A second suspect was arrested last week in connection to the deadly May 25 shooting at the Koyote Saloon, according to Cpt. John Harrelson with the Horry County Police Department. Joey Lee Henry, 30, of Green Sea, is charged with murder.
