Armed robber hits Ocean Boulevard hotel

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The Myrtle Beach Police Department responded to a North Ocean Boulevard hotel in reference to an armed robbery early Saturday morning.

According to the police report, around 5 a.m. a man approached the front desk clerk at Oceans One Resort with a handgun pointed demanding money from the safe.

After the clerk gave the suspect an undetermined amount of money from the registers, the suspect fled on foot towards Kings Highway.

The suspect is described as 5-foot-9 inches tall, and a heavy set man. The suspect was wearing dark pants, a ski mask, work gloves and a dark hoodie with "Myrtle Beach" written in white on the front.
