MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A woman was reportedly kidnapped, sexually assaulted and robbed after meeting a man she met on a social media site, according to Myrtle Beach police.
David Welch, 19, of Myrtle Beach, is charged with the said crimes and more, police said.
The victim told police she and Welch had been talking for some time before the two decided to meet in person at a Burger King restaurant near the Coastal Grand Mall.

"Really make sure to let someone know what you're doing and what plan you have in place,” said Lt. Joey Crosby with the Myrtle Beach Police Department.
Police say having a plan is critical.
"You just have a plan of action in place," Crosby said. "Make sure that a friend knows what you're doing, that way if something does happen, someone can report that you're missing to the police department."
