Florence School District One to operate on 2-hour delay Thursday

FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Florence School District One is scheduled to operate on a two-hour delay Thursday, according to officials.

Elementary schools will start at 9:45 a.m.; middle and high schools will start at 10:30 a.m.

School buses will pick students up two hours later than their normal scheduled times.

All Florence One employees will report to work on the regular schedule.

To accommodate working parents with school car riders and school employees with children, all school buildings will be open to receive students who may arrive early on Thursday.

Elementary schools will be open to receive students at 7:00 a.m.; middle and high schools will be open to receive students at 7:30 a.m.

District officials said the delay is due to expected cold temperatures.
