SUV driver charged after school bus crash in Florence

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – A Florence School District 1 bus crashed into an SUV Tuesday morning after the driver of the SUV failed to stop at an intersection, according to Major Carlos Raines with Florence Police.

According to Sarah Ward of the Florence One Transportation Department, two Alfred Rush Academy students were on board during the accident.

There were no injuries reported from the crash, which occurred on Cheves Street and Griffin Street in the City of Florence, Maj. Raines said. The driver of the SUV is being charged with failure to stop at a right of way.
