HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A $10,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspects in the deadly shooting and robbery at the Sunhouse Convenience store in Longs on January 2.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is offering $5,000, and the Sunhouse Corporation is also offering $5,000, for a total $10,000 reward for information on the crime.

The robbery occurred on January 2, 2015. The victim has been identified as Bala Gopal Paruchuri, 40. Paruchuri was originally from India and was living in Myrtle Beach. He died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to Horry County Coroner Michelle McSpadden. At 10 p.m., the HCPD responded to the Sunhouse Convenience store where they found the store clerk dead, and what appeared to be several spent shell casings on the floor.

"They didn't care he didn't resist them in any way. And the two men that killed him didn't care that they would be damaging not only a good family but an entire community in Horry County, said  Chief Saundra Rhodes with the Horry County Police Department.

“We want the justice to be done to Bala's family because he was a good man," said K.P. Magnti with the Sunhouse Corporation. "He never hurt anybody. He never said a wrong word. He never even said anything to anybody shoplifting in his store. And there is no need for such a heinous crime against him.”

Detectives with the Horry County Police Department need help identifying a man who might have seen something that could help the investigation. Chief Rhodes said that the one witness they had spoken to was not able to provide more information to move the case forward.

Photos have been released from surveillance footage at the store. The subjects are considered extremely dangerous and should only be approached by law enforcement personnel.

Anyone who has tips on the case is asked to call call HCPD's tip Line at (843)915-8477, or the ATF Tip Line at 1-800-ATF-TIPS
