LONGS, SC (WMBF) – One man is dead after a convenience store shooting off Highway 905 in Longs Friday night.

The victim has been identified as Bala Gopal Paruchuri, 40. Paruchuri was originally from India and was living in Myrtle Beach. He died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to Horry County Coroner Michelle McSpadden. 

At 10 p.m., the HCPD responded to the Sunhouse Convenience store where they found the store clerk dead, and what appeared to be several spent shell casings on the floor.

A witness states that multiple suspects took part in the robbery. The murder/robbery investigation is on-going and more details will be released as they become available. 

Photos have been released from surveillance footage at the store. The subjects are considered extremely dangerous and should only be approached by law enforcement personnel.
