LUMBERTON, NC (WMBF) - A man has been arrested and another man is wanted after a man was found dead in a car in Lumberton.
Artiz Quante Bowden, 19, is wanted by the Lumberton Police Department for first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, shooting into an occupied property and two counts of felony conspiracy.
Corey Matthew Deese, of Lumberton, was arrested Thursday, January 1 by the Lumberton Police Department. Deese was charged with murder.
On Wednesday, December 31, at 11:48 p.m., police were dispatched to a car at 3801 Federal Road where they found the body of 29-year-old Rafat Abdebiziz.
According to Captain Terry Parker, Lumberton Police and the Robeson County District Attorney's Office determined that the shooting occurred in the 1300 block of Furman Drive in Lumberton. It appears to be an attempted robbery, according to Parker.
