Teen arrested for allegedly robbing pizza delivery man

A 16-year-old boy was arrested after allegedly robbing a Domino's pizza delivery man, Tuesday night. A 16-year-old boy was arrested after allegedly robbing a Domino's pizza delivery man, Tuesday night.

DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A 16-year-old boy was arrested after allegedly robbing a Domino's pizza delivery man, Tuesday night.

According to a press release from the Darlington County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to an armed robbery on the 4000 block of Lake Swamp Road in the Lamar area. 

The victim was robbed of money and struck on the head by the suspect with a gun after delivering a pizza at the location. 

Sheriff Byrd said that there was a man hunt to find the teen and the teen's younger brother confessed, leading to the arrest.

Last night, the suspect was taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia and he was transported to family court Wednesday, for a detention hearing. 

The suspect is being charged as an adult with armed robbery and first degree assault.

A bond hearing has been scheduled for Friday, January  2.
