WASHINGTON, DC (WMBF) – Sen. Tim Scott shared his reflection of 2014 in an official blog. The year was memorable for the senator as Scott “completed his first campaign as a senator, and he won, entering history as the first elected black senator from the South since Reconstruction.”

The senator showed pictures with constituents, South Carolinians, even selfies with students.

Who could forget the wave of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge that hit 2014? You guessed it! The senator shared his video partaking in the event.

“From hosting weekly constituent meet and greets in Washington to taking my first selfie, here are some of the more fun highlights from this past year!” said Scott.
