Scotchman gas station hit by armed robber

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The Myrtle Beach Police Department responded to the Scotchman on South Kings Highway for an armed robbery Sunday morning.

The victim stated that the suspect walked in the store, pointed a gun in his face and made him walk to the cash register.

The suspect demanded all the money in the register and all the cartons of Newport cigarettes, according to the report.

After getting the items, the suspect forced the victim to lock himself in the restroom and threatened to shoot him if he didn't listen.

The suspect is described as a black male between 5-foot-10-inches to 6 feet tall and about 230 to 250 pounds in weight.

He was wearing a gray hoodie, camo pants, and a camo face covering.
