(WMBF) – Each month, dozens of products are recalled from shelves, and government agencies issue warnings about unlabeled allergens in your food. The following recalls are current as of December 15, 2014.

James Trading Group Recalls Croker Kids Fleece Panel Hoodie Due to Strangulation Hazard

According to the CPSC: The sweatshirts have a drawstring around the neck area which poses a strangulation hazard to children. Drawstrings can become entangled or caught on playground slides, hand rails, school bus doors or other moving objects, posing a significant strangulation and/or entanglement hazard to children.

Comfort Research Recalls Vinyl Bean Bag Chairs Due to Risk of Entrapment, Suffocation

According to the CPSC: "The zippers on the bean bag chairs can be opened by children who can then crawl inside, become entrapped, suffocate or choke on the bean bag chair's foam beads."

Yamaha Recalls YZ250 Competition Off-Road Motorcycles Due to Risk of Injury, Death

WindowTex Recalls Custom Roller Shades Due to Risk of Injury

According to the CPSC: "A steel pin inserted into the idler on the shades can become dislodged and cause the shade to fall from the mounting bracket, posing a risk of injury from impact to the consumer."

Bicycle Helmets recalled by UVEX Sports Due to Risk of Head Injury

According tot he CPSC:  "The anchor for the helmet's chinstrap can fail, causing the helmets to slide off the head, posing a head injury hazard. The bicycle helmets also do not comply with the impact requirements of the CPSC safety standards for bicycle helmets."

According to the FDA: "Kkot Saem Sprouts, Inc. of Spanaway, Washington is voluntarily recalling Soybean Sprouts and Mungbean Sprouts sold under brand names Kkot Saem, Winter Blossom Bean Sprouts, and Winter Blossom because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems."

Bethel Nutritional Consulting, Inc. Issues Nationwide Voluntary Recall of SLIM-K Capsules Due to Undeclared Drug Ingredients

According to the FDA: "Bethel Nutritional Consulting, Inc. is recalling one lot ofSLIM-K Capsules to the consumer level. The firm was informed by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that a sample of SLIM-K collected and tested by the FDA was found to contain Sibutramine, desmethylsibutramine, and Phenolphthalein."

Bethel Nutritional Consulting, Inc. Issues Nationwide Voluntary Recall of B-Lipo Capsules Due to the Presence of an Undeclared Drug Ingredient

According to the FDA: "Bethel Nutritional Consulting, Inc. is recalling one lot ofB-Lipo Capsules to the consumer level. The firm was informed by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that a sample of B-Lipo Capsules collected and tested by the FDA was found to contain Lorcaserin, a controlled substance used for weight loss."

Bleating Heart Cheese Issues Voluntary Recall of Various Cheeses Due to Possible Health Risk

According to the FDA: "Bleating Heart Cheese (BHC) is conducting a voluntary recall of a few of its sheep milk and cow's milk cheese produced in late May, late June and early July of 2014, based on sampling by the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) that found the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in at least one sample of the following cheeses."

Tristar Equine Issues Voluntary Recall of Gastrotec

According to the FDA: "Tristar Equine Marketing, LLC is voluntarily recalling all lots of Gastrotec down to the consumer level. Gastrotec was previously marketed by Tristar as an OTC drug for use in horses, and contains a combination of Omeprazole and Misoprostol. This recall has been initiated due to information from the FDA that Gastrotec must have an approved new animal drug application to be legally marketed in the United States. Gastrotec is not approved by the FDA. As a consequence, Tristar has ceased all production and sales of Gastrotec and is recalling the product."

Flat Creek Farm & Dairy Recalls Cheese Because of Possible Health Risk

According to the FDA: "Flat Creek Farm & Dairy of Swainsboro, GA has recalled 3 lots of cheese with lot codes 140802XAZ (Aztec Cheddar), 140702XAZ (Low Country Gouda voluntary recall) and 140725XGO (Aztec Cheddar voluntary recall) because of potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Long-term complications can include severe arthritis. The lot codes can be found on the front of the packages."

According to the FDA: "Giant Eagle has issued a recall of Giant Eagle Apple Pistachio Salad and Apple Pistachio Salad with Chicken because the salads may contain fresh cut Gala red apples currently recalled by Del Monte Fresh Produce N.A. due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. To date, Giant Eagle has received no reports of customer illnesses associated with this recall."

Alere Initiates Voluntary URGENT CORRECTION for Use of Alere INRatio® and INRatio®2 PT/INR Monitor System

Safeway Recalls Safeway Select French Salted Caramel (Fleur De Sel) Premium Ice Cream Sold November 4 through December 5 Due to an Undeclared Peanut Allergen

Abdallah Candies Announces the Voluntary Recall of Holiday Caramel Bites

According to the FDA: "Abdallah Candies of Burnsville, MN is taking precautionary measures and voluntarily recalling red and silver foil wrapped Holiday Caramel Bites. One customer has reported finding a peanut butter bite, wrapped in red foil, in a bag of holiday caramel bites. The date code on the bag was EK-08."

Overhill Farms Voluntarily Recalls Open Nature Chile Cheese Enchiladas Sold At Safeway Stores Nationwide Due To Possible Salmonella Contamination

According to the FDA: "Overhill Farms, Inc. of Vernon, California is voluntarily recalling the frozen food product Open Nature Chile Cheese Enchiladas due to potential Salmonella contamination. The supplier for the organic cilantro contained in such product notified Overhill Farms that the organic cilantro may have Salmonella contamination based on routine testing conducted. The product is sold nationwide at all Safeway-owned stores, including Safeway, Carrs, Genuardi's, Pak ‘N Save, Pavilions, Randalls, Tom Thumb and Vons."

Lakeland Animal Nutrition Issues Voluntary Horse Feed Recall

According to the FDA: "Lakeland Animal Nutrition has been informed that certain horse feeds manufactured by the company in Lakeland, Florida and distributed within the state of Florida may contain monensin and lasalocid. Serious injury or death can occur in horses consuming feeds containing monensin and/or lasalocid. Three horses reported to have consumed the feed being recalled died and other horses at the same equine facility had significant health reactions, the cause of which is still being determined."

Whole Foods Market West Hartford, Bishops Corner and Glastonbury Recall Tarte Aux Pommes Due to Undeclared Almonds

According to the FDA: "Three Connecticut Whole Foods Market locations are recalling “Tarte Aux Pommes” produced and sold in West Hartford Center, Bishops Corner and Glastonbury, Connecticut due to undeclared almonds. The tarte was mislabeled as a “Tarte Aux Pomme 10in” and has a “best by” date between November 20 and December 1, 2014."

House of Flavors Issues Voluntary Recall Due to Possible Undeclared Dairy Allergen in Ciao Bella Dark Cocoa Sorbetto

According to the FDA: " House of Flavors, Inc., based in Ludington, Michigan, is recalling Ciao Bella Dark Cocoa Sorbetto manufactured by House of Flavors because it's ingredients may include an undeclared dairy allergen. Consumers who may have an allergy or severe sensitivity to dairy run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product. For consumers who are not allergic to dairy, there is no safety issue with this product."
